How do I add money to my Cash ISA?

watch_laterUpdated 25 days ago

There are a few ways to pay into your Cash ISA pots.

Transferring an existing ISA:

If you already have an ISA with another provider, you can transfer this to your Zopa Cash ISA without affecting your ISA allowance.

To do this, head to the ‘Save & Invest’ tab, tap the three dots next to ‘Withdraw’ and select ‘Transfer ISA’.

We'll ask you to provide some information so that we can contact your old ISA provider to request the transfer.

The transfer process can take up to 15 business days, and the minimum amount you can transfer is £500.

Adding money not already held in an ISA:

The quickest way to add money is using the ‘Ask’ tab.

Or you can:

1.     Head to the ‘Save & Invest’ tab.

2.     Tap ‘Add’.

3.     Choose how much you’d like to add, the account you’d like to add it from, and the pot you’d like to pay it to.

You can also set up a regular weekly or monthly transfer so you can build your Cash ISA automatically.

Just ask to set up ‘auto-save’ in the ‘Ask’ tab or:

1.     Head to the ‘Save & Invest’ tab.

2.     Tap ‘Set up auto-save’ and follow the steps.

Please note, not all banks are compatible with auto-save. You can check out the list of supporting banks here.

Prefer to do a top up your Cash ISA using a manual bank transfer?

Your Cash ISA has its own sort code and unique account number, which you can use to make a manual bank transfer from your current account. You can find these by heading to the ‘Save & Invest’ tab, tapping the three dots next to ‘Withdraw’, selecting ‘Product details’, followed by ‘Cash ISA’.

Before making a manual bank transfer, please make sure that the bank account you’d like to pay from has been verified by us. Find out how to do this here.

If your bank says it can’t verify the details, it’s likely due to a security check called Confirmation of Payee.

Also, please be aware, we can only accept Faster Payments and BACS – CHAPS won’t reach us.
